With the return of fans at Beaujoire, Michel Der Zakarian’s players launched their match against Rodez. Killian Corredor opened the score in the 4th minute by cutting a cross from Mathieu Cafaro on the right side.
Decisive period
At 15 minutes, Ibrahima Baldé equalised for the Canaries after a good cross from Ryan Ponti on the left. Corredor regained the lead in the 24th minute through a one-two with Wilitty Younoussa. Baldé scored in the 26th minute but suffered a right thigh injury, leaving Dehmaine Tabibou as his replacement. Goalkeeper Maxime Dupé was tricked by a Ponti shot at 47 minutes. Herba Guirassy scored in the 55th minute, but the goal was disallowed for a foul on Raphaël Lipinski. Mathis Touho missed the frame at 58 minutes.
At 71 minutes, Baldé struck again, then at 73 minutes completed the double of the evening, leaving the Canaries without hope.
