Rodez gears up for the friendly on July 25
Rodez, TFC's guest, will play its friendly this Saturday, July 25 at 7 p.m. at Jean‑Verbeke stadium. Montauban club rallies about fifty volunteers to ensure a smooth evening, handling ticketing, security and every detail for the two professional squads.
How does Montauban FC organize the event?
Since early week, Montauban FC staff have been busy: printers run, accreditations pile up and invitations are sorted. Manager Corentin Da Costa notes ticketing goes beyond sales, covering invitation management, accreditations and ticket checks. This setup builds on experience from three previous clashes between the Occitan clubs.
Why are volunteers so decisive?
Finding fifty volunteers proved hardest, Da Costa says. Between 50 and 55 volunteers will cover parking, security, catering and entertainment. Their presence guarantees the match runs smoothly and players stay safe, with barriers installed around the pitch. Without them, professional hospitality would suffer.
What does this mean for Rodez?
Rodez finished the 2025 season in 5th place in Ligue 2 with 58 points, 15 wins, 13 draws and 6 losses, showing recent form WWDWW. The club has scored 45 goals and conceded 39, a +6 goal difference. Though 9 points behind leaders ESTAC Troyes, the friendly offers a chance to test new tactics before the next challenge against Guingamp (home, February 12 2027).
