Rodez will host a session of the Professional Football Coach Certificate (BEPF) from 17 to 19 November. The trainees will work on the pitches at the club's Vabre training complex.
This immersion session at a professional club is organised by the national technical directorate. The promotion includes ten coaches following a thirteen-session course spread over a full season, alternating between the Clairefontaine centre and clubs. For Rodez, it is the second time after a first edition in 2021.
Back then, the candidates led training sessions with the club's youth and reserve team players. Emerick Darbelet, assistant to Didier Santini at Le Raf, is part of the current group. "One of the trainees will be on familiar ground," he said.
The group features coaches in roles across the professional and amateur divisions. They include Yannick Cahuzac (Lens, Ligue 1), Jérémie Bréchet (Marseille, Ligue 1), Fabien Dagneaux (Boulogne, Ligue 2) and Cédric Hengbart (Avranches, National 1).
This news comes as Rodez sit 14th in Ligue 2 with 7 points from seven games. Their last outing was a 3-4 home defeat to Nancy on 18 September, and the schedule is demanding with a trip to face leaders Saint-Étienne on 10 October.
The BEPF qualification is mandatory to manage a team at the professional level. The Aveyron club is strengthening its role in developing French football's technical staff, a commitment that goes beyond immediate sporting results. The November session will last three full days.

The National Technical Directorate confirmed that the BEPF trainees will lead sessions with the club's U18s and senior II and III teams, as in the 2021 edition. The club, which has conceded 16 goals in 7 matchdays, is focusing on this training project despite a tough sporting context.
